Hi everybody,

FunFiles was offline due to copyrights of the I R D E T O files. We had to remove all files before being allowed to be online again.
I R D E T O files aren't allowed anymore on funfiles. Any member uploading I R D E T O files will be banned.

Sorry for the incovenience

Well we had a long story with irdeto, first they didn't have rights.. and they were bugging us for a whole year.. but now they have the rights and they hate us and they have a lawyer now.. so I had no choice

Well the answer to our problem would be to call the keys something completely different. Then for all they know, the Keys could be for any thing. if its just a copyright issue then we don’t use the irdeto name.

or the alternative visit one of the many sites wher you can post and download keys.

Lets make it public !
Dont be all that intimed by them.
If they had tighten up they'r security
public keys dont get arround.
Stupidty in the first place by them.
They cant blame us for there lack.
This is a public board !
remember the Shengen amement
I dont think much harm can be done.
Over 500 boards publishing keys
What they want to do about it.
Let them work arround security.
Second off all
How can funfiles be hold responsible
when a cam file for instance is published?
Sure a fine cord needs to be balanced I'm aware
No way can they sue,
rights or no rights.
The argument is there; we have a RIGHT
to publish ( freedom off speech )
Let them stick it
and see if the outcome from court
vote in favoure.
W'll never surender

Problem is, our hosting doesn't want problems so they will just throw us out.. very simple.. and never heard of a hosting who doesn't throw out a client because he would cause a problem resulting in a lawsuit.

G'day all,
Just my twopence worth.
I don't think they can legally claim copyright, as all encryption systems must adhere to the ISO **** standard.
If they get away with this, what, every other encryption system next?>-(
Some one needs to organise a challenge from the "Sat Fraternity".
Surely there are enough businesses making a comfortable living out of us?:-P
Kindest Regards, Bill and the FunFiles Team.8-|

Bill,
a true word.
However law suites are not only a un unwanted thing but a financial risc.
Sure your arguments may be right but that doesn´t mean FunFiles financial
capacities aren´t run dry in a law suite that takes on for about ever.
That is why those large, seemingly never ever drying up financial resources,
companies will, eventually win.
Simply a matter of money available.
