FunFiles Satellite is back online after 2 weeks of downtime.
Our former webhosting recieved a couple of e-mails 2 weeks ago that there where flood attacks originating from our server. due to this they unplugged the server for investigation. After 7 days they finally found out our server didn't attack anyone and restored the connection. Because they unplugged the server without even checking if those abuse reports where true I dediced to look for a new webhosting. which resulted in another week of downtime.

I explained the whole situation to our new webhosting to prevent anything like this will happen again and our new host promised me they will first check abuse reports before unplugging our server. So we will not experience anymore downtime.

Today the DNS updates finally been done and the backup has been restored on the new server. The new server has a 100mbit connection with savvis (big USA internet provider) which is 10 times as fast as the connection we used to have with our former webhosting, so you should notice some real speed improvements. We can now easely handle 3 times as more visitors than before!

A newsletter will be send out within 48 hours to let all our members know we are back online within 48 hours. As far as I know all files are restored succesfully. also the whole database has been restored without any failures. If you do encounter any problems please contact me on webmaster@funfiles.ws.
