If you have an LCD TV and the picture start's doing weird things the cause is nearly always dirty pins. It mean's undoing a lot of screws that hold the back on, but first lay the receiver flat on its face to save damage to the screen. There is a lead from the LCD to the Mother board pull this off at both ends and spray the pins and the hole's in the plugs, or you can get a new lead for a few pence, I got this information from my mate who is a TV engineer. This may also include LCD monitors. but that i am not sure of.
